On this day, we went to the wonderful Honeymoon Beach on Water Island. While Water Island is one of the lesser known islands within the USVI, Honeymoon Beach is noted as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. While there, we were able to swim, relax, and eat. We noticed that the overall climate of Water Island was very calm and laid back, compared to some of the other islands that we've been to. When tourists came by boat to the beach, the beach was immediately more crowded and much louder than it had been before.
To get away from the noise of the tourists, a couple of us went for a walk to see the scenery around the island. Since the island is only two miles long, the walk didn't last very long, but we were able to encounter a couple of great locations. From one area, we could see St. Thomas. Surprisingly, from that spot, we could hear noises from St. Thomas, including the loud noise from WAPA's desalination plant. Another place we encountered was a botanical garden that was being kept up by one of the locals.
